Shall we ski? yes

Today was one of the best ski days of my life

the conditions were near perfect, the visibilty was endless and my feet didn't hurt, does is get any better than that

my good friend Carla and I went, we ski on Mondays because most people are at work, and we have the day off


my aunt Erin bought me these awesome ski socks. I don't know if I told you this Erin there the best, I love them

 once I get to this tunnel i'm very close

then I burst over the crest of the Iron Workers Memorial and I feel like i'm home, North Vancouver. this is where we moved when we left Georgetown, still feels like home

these mountains call out to me...come over here, the skiing is great, and i'm like...i'm over here, i'm coming

got these brand new never worn 150.00 Sorel winter boots at the thrift store the other day, for 6.99

these are the tippy tippy tree tops, there was so much snow

after awhile we stopped for this

as the sun started to go down we started to bundell up. we had another friend coming up at 6pm for night skiing. we wanted to stay and ski with her as well but in the end it got too cold for us. when the sun goes down it gets pretty icy as well. i'm not in a position to break a leg now

Carla's cat Tramp, she is from a litter of cats just before the litter I got my dear departed Ten Two from. Ten two died years ago so you can only imagine how old Tramp is. and the poor bud isn't doing so well anymore, she still looks and feels lovely though



 

Outfit number two

In my quest to clean my closet continued...this is what I wore today

I bought this dress if you remember at Target a couple of weeks ago. what I had in mind then was a breezy summer dress but today realized, hey, I could wear this with tights, I just llllllloooooovvvvvvvveeeeeeee tights

and I thought I would curl my hair for the occassion

I use these hot rollers, they are pretty ancient, got them at a thirft store years ago but they work well

once i've sectioned off my hair into six sections I roll away and put a hair net on to hold everything in place. whatever works for you but I leave them in for around 20minutes. I put them up then go about my business for awhile before taking them out. when you take them out remove the clips and instead of pulling the rollers out let them fall out so your hair falls naturally. then a spray of hairspray and away

I'm wearing:
Target summer dress and shoes and  H&M black long sleeve tee and black tights

since it is actually a summer dress I used my beach bag as a purse. this purse is from the thrift store

my jewellry: The lovely twisted silver bracelet is from my Mom. she had a bunch of silver melted down and designed it. the other bracelet and both rings believe it or not are from BC Ferries, so cheap

now i'm going to do a user test with these OLAY products. my girlfriends mother gave them to me, they are samples of night eye cream and eye concealer cream. i'll try them out for awhile then do a review on them

John and Yoko Ono's son and his girlfriend on Conan. very good I must say, he looks so much live his father

I don't like to wear my dress shoes in the car driving because the backs always get wrecked. I wore my trusty gum boots then changed into my shoes when I got there

Time to clean out the old closet

Oh my gosh, my closet is just one huge black hole

I have so many clothes I don't even know what I've got. i've decided to try on something new everyday to see if I like it, if I don't, I'M GETTING RID OF IT!!!!!!!, damn it

talk about collecting, can someone stop me please. this skirt I found this morning in T's throw away pile, so I thought i'd give it a try

I like the ruffle it has in the front, paired with a black scoop neck top, looks nice

add a tan cover up and tan boots, it looks nice

add my knock off YSL bag, it looks nice

the finishing touch a nice glass ring, not sure where I got this, my mother I think

Oh, I finally got the gum boot socks I was wanting. went for the 25.00 ones instead of the Hunter ones I really wanted which were 45.00

and look at me, i'm so healthy and happy now

i'm not afraid of anyone

It's that time of year again!

Sick with the flu, yuck

I do love a good cry, sometimes I watch a sad movie just to have one, it all sounds a bit cliche but not bad to remind myself anyways

hope I feel tons better tomorrow, definitely past the worst of it

This is what women have to go through, you have to see it to believe it

Yikes the hideousness of it all

my hair grows so fast that if I don't color it every 3 weeks this is what happens, I don't even want to go out in public. I generally wear my hair up and when its this bad I can't because then the roots look even worse

this is 4 weeks and my roots are practically an inch long!

my good friend Alda does my hair at her home which is lovely because we can meet at 8pm which works well for the both of us

its a fairly long process because of the length of my hair, it has to be done in sections

I don't have cable so I get to watch all the home reno and house flipping shows

I could probably be an antenna for my own TV with all this foil

Ok back to pretty now, and with a trim its all good. not sure why my hair gets so ratty at the ends, I don't curl or blow dry my hair ever. well maybe hot roller once a year but that is seriously it. we take off around an inch every third visit

yesterday was greatly needed partial me day, my nails also have to be done every 3 weeks and I booked that in as well before my hair appointment. they were so long I couldn't even type anymore

Alda's house can be like a shopping mall, she always has fun stuff in her hair washing room that she's getting rid of

I picked up this mirror while I was there, its like thrift storing

i'll find somewhere fun for it and show you later. its been 12 here for the last 2 days so thats nice, we're into the rain now
