Still getting used to the new skates. I find they are heavier and when I get tired I tend to drag my left foot. gotta be careful because then my pick digs in. also having a harder time getting them tight enough because they are quite stiff. all will be well i'm sure by next week, at least I hope so

Heather and I have had a hectic week. my main challenge was all late shifts so hard to get a coffee into me and to the rink by noon. We only hooked up once and that was monday. I'm anxious to hear how her week panned out

also new blisters in places I didn't have before, yikes

So we've changed up the rules slightly
just to be clear:

instead of 1 hour a day physical activity for 30 days, its going to be

7 hours a week for 30 days, so same amount of time but at a more leisurley pace, I need a day off

I'm am absolutely exhausted! but... got my own skates today

I was lucky to have Heather show me the ropes, she scooped me 700 dollar skates for 50 dollars plus a free sharpen

what I find hilarious about these mother daughter pics is that we are all mimicking eachother

 

too funny, right after Melissa posed here Carla tried it....then disaster struck

 

she hit the ice, freaked the crap out of me because I saw a beige thing that looked exactly like a row of teeth go flying. I didn't know what happened

when she lifted her arm and leg to pose like Melissa her skate broke and the blade came right off, OMG we laughed till we cried

we're gettin more bendy everyday

 

 

 

 

war wounds, Melissa and I were dumb ass enough to wear sports socks and the inside of the skates were rubbing on our poor legs
