Jaybird - 4

Here are some random shots of things the kids have been doing without me. Stole these pics from their FB pages, ha ha creeper. The boys went off for a hike up Cypress on the way to Horseshoe Bay to see Pake and Beppe's place and eat at Trolls

They also went up Grouse Mountain and saw some black bears, sorry their video of that is not kid friendly, LOL!!!

T had them at an outdoor concert at 2nd beach then off to a condo party just off Robson

They spent the night downtown. Had pre booked themselves into the Sutton Place Hotel, very nice and just half a block from Robson

they met up with Matt's uncle for dinner at Joe Fortes on Robson and Thurlow

said this Roots store was awesome

walk along the pier at Coal Harbour

pretty nice for one small parking lot ... Shaw? of all places, gotta get a job there

I picked them up at the Hotel next day and off to Uncle Dave's on the island. Were going to just stay one night but within hours got the call they would like to stay another. I don't think Uncle Dave is letting them leave

off to Victoria, next adventure please

Jaybird - 3

Had a great day in Stanley Park and at English Bay

for those of you that don't know, this is Jay's friend Matt, lovely guy

at Look Out Point. So many years ago when I was pregnant with T I stood here and watched Mom and Dad leave under Lions Gate Bridge on a cruise to Alaska

everyone has to stand in this tree, its tradition. The park and the tree were completely devastated in our 2005 wind storm. It was like a bomb went off, just terrible. Its now bolted down and much smaller. Used to be able to drive a car into it!

we walked along the sea wall and ended up at English Bay for dinner at Milestones. This was our awesome view from our table, not as unobstructed but just about. We're killing time at the beach waiting for our table. The restaurant is right across the street

we did some great people watching. I live in the burbs, the city is so different

you all know how this starts

these funny statues were at the beach. All of them laughing, some keeled over their laughing so hard!

showing Jay where Margo worked when we were younger. She would stay with Dave and I for the summer, ride to work on her bike. At night when it was late, take a taxi across Lions Gate Bridge then ride the rest of the way. The causeway is just too dangerous at night

Went for a wonderful hike and swim in the glacial waters of Lynn Canyon

Best part ... crossing the bridge and swinging and shaking it, bwahahah

gotta cross the water to get to the cliff behind these trees
