Cottage - six

here are some random shots of the galleries we went to

love how they built the deck around this tree

Mom we have to get some of these frames paint them up and sell them, these babies were 25.00 each! all they are,  frames with tin foil wrapped around a piece of wood i'm guessing and painted little ornaments in the middle, simple simple

these cute chandeliers were going for 225.00

really loved these little glass rectangles, but not willing to buy at 65.00 each

great glass works everywhere

loved this black neck warmer, but to pricey, but sure looked cute on instead of a scarf

cute little deer having lunch

found Laurie tired of shopping, not alot for men i'm afraid

my favorite little flower garden, there is a box in the shed to leave your money

this ladies jewellry was wonderful but a bracelet was over 800.00! thats more than a Tiffany bracelet

I love Kate Woods jewelry. all silver with stones and glass from the beach. I have a few of her pieces

well thats it for this visit, see ya all soon for the wedding

Cottage - five

the next day Betty and Laurie were back off to Dave's

I always get up to something on my own, I stayed one extra night. this time decided to get rid of some clutter

and clean out this closet of the junk i've stored in there. it's quite unorganized because I haven't put in a closet organizer yet, but I will one day. This is also supposed to be the closet for clothes for the person staying in the loft so I definitely need to hang a coat rack

much better

and all nicely hidden now

Betty and Laurie bought the doggers a new water dish

the next morning first thing the boys and I left for home, always bittersweet and very very early because I go home the day I start work again. gotta squeeze every minute in that I can

even we're tired

Cottage - four

After we dropped off the doggers we went to Silva Bay for lunch so we could sit on the balcony and stare at the yachts

first we ate inside then went outside

I had of course, calamari, Betty had a legume burger which she just raved about, I can't remember what Laurie had, something with oh so yummy sweet potato fries

the resident outdoor cat, I tried to find some cat food but the grocery store on this part of the island has closed down so beef jerky was all I could find

the old condemned pool

afterwards we hit a few more beaches, this is the lighthouse off my street of dreams

Laurie looks like a statue

going to our next beach

this is my favorite beach actually, Spring Beach, but alas the tide was coming in so we couldn't really explore

then onto Brickyard Beach, the old brickyard was here. the whole beach is riddled with old bricks

this must have been their dumping grounds, the whole embankement is made up of bricks

found some old pics of the brickyard. the brickyard was operational from the early 1890's-1952. there was no power on Gabe so it operated with fuel pumps and boilers. the site was dismantled in the 60's

ariel photo

pump

kilns

everything is gone now, well thats not true there are bricks everywhere and quite possibly the land still holds some secrets, its all hidden under forest growth now.

found this jellyfish

saved him, I hope, back in the water you go, on the end of a stick but I couldn't pick it up

then back to the cottage and my fire dancing ritual

Betty did some more of this

Laurie this... you go Laurie

the doggers this

and me this

Laurie made us an absolute scrumptious meal of chicken, potatoes and asapargus.

then off to another great nights sleep
